High support is used when pupils require 1:1 or 2:1 teaching.

High support is normally a result of an assessment of risk which shows significant risk either to the pupil or others should they attend school with their peers.

Decisions to apply for high support funding rest on a case by case basis with the individual safeguarding and risk factors being considered carefully.
